A circus company created in 2004 by João Paulo Santos, a Portuguese circus artist and Guillaume Dutrieux, a French musician. They met at an artistic collective born at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque. Based in France, the company travels throughout Europe but extends its borders to the rest of the world; from Asia, America and Africa. The company offers shows mainly focused on the discipline of the Chinese pole, João Paulo Santos’ specialty, but also opens up to other artistic fields, such as dance and video. Since his beginnings within the company, João has maintained a strong bond with his country of origin. Considered a precursor in the field of contemporary circus, his experience and his training (mainly acquired in France) have enabled Portuguese structures to promote a discipline no so common in this country.
